Lisa Batten, Director and Campus Pastor
Lisa is a 1987 graduate of Ferris State University and a 2004 graduate of Western Michigan University. She has been married for 26 years to her husband Jim and has three children: Kaleb, Elizabeth, and Colin. Lisa leads worship, develops leaders, leads Bible study, and enjoys stoop sitting at Wesley.
Gail Dorstewitz, Office Administrator
Gail graduated from the University of Capetown. She has been married for 21 years and has two children: Adam and Lily. Gail works with Lisa and Sarah with Wesley’s fund development and office administration.
Sarah DeHaan, Office Assistant
Sarah, a current student at Western Michigan University, works with Gail and Lisa around the office with various tasks, such as building reservations, fund development, and ensuring a safe and hospitable environment.
Calvin, Head of Custodial Services
Calvin is the go-to person for all things maintenance at the Wesley Foundation. Calvin knows all of the ropes around Wesley and is always happy to lend a hand to those in need. For those looking for assistance, drop by Wesley anytime during in the early afternoon during the week, and you can find Calvin.
Jennifer Douglas, Resident Director of the Wesley Intentional Living Community
Jennifer establishes our small groups at Wesley and plans awesome retreats. She also strives to build community at the WILC. Jennifer loves listening to music and traveling. She also enjoys nature, baking and spending time with friends.
Neil Jansen, Music Director
Neil directs the Praise Band, for the TGiT worship service and musicians for the Soul Feast service. He also plans worship. Neil loves working with others to make music!

Jessica Ivey, Worship Coordinator

Molly Smucker, Sustainability Coordinator
Molly is in charge of all thing Sustainability at the Wesley Foundation. Molly does a lot of work in the Wesley Garden, as well as the general permaculture around the property of the building. Molly loves connecting with the earth, her community, and animals through a permaculture approach of spreading compassion, sustainability, and health.
Francis Kamuhanda, International Student Outreach Coordinator
Francis is a 2002 graduate from Makerera University in Uganda where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Education. He is currently a graduate student at Western Michigan University working on his master’s in Human Resource Management. As the International Student Outreach Coordinator, Francis works with international students at WMU to invite them to partake in all things Wesley, creating more diverse, welcoming environment!
